Bacon Wrapped Green Beans

Ingredients

 400 g Green Beans
 1 tsp Garlic Salt
 ¼ cup Butter, melted
 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
 ½ tsp Pepper
 1 tbsp Parsley, chopped

Method

1

Start by preheating your oven to 200°C.

2

Next, line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil, ensuring the sides are covered. Arrange the bacon slices on the lined sheet and place them in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes. At this point, the bacon will not be fully cooked.

3

While the bacon is in the oven, trim the ends of the green beans to prepare them. In a large pot, bring water to a boil, then add the green beans. Cook for 2-3 minutes, just until they are slightly tender.

4

Once cooked, drain the green beans and immediately transfer them to a bowl filled with ice water to stop the cooking process. After a few minutes, remove the green beans from the ice water and dry them with a paper towel.

5

In a small bowl, mix together garlic salt, melted butter, brown sugar, and pepper. Drizzle this mixture over the green beans and toss them until they are evenly coated.

6

Take 8-10 green beans and place them at one end of a bacon slice, then roll the bacon tightly around the beans. Arrange each bundle seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil or coated with non-stick spray.

7

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and golden brown. If desired, garnish with parsley before serving hot.
